  • Toothpaste is good for removing tarnish on Sliver. Coat the silver with toothpaste and then with it under warm water, work it into a foam using gentle pressure. Rinse well.
  • Use air freshener to clean mirrors. It does a good job as well as leaving a lovely smell.
  • Baking Soda can be used for many jobs around the house, scrubbing sinks, bath tub, stove, refrigerator and laundry. It leaves everything smelling nice and cleans just as good as any cleanser without scratching enamel.
  • Add some hot oil and 1/2 tsp of baking soda in batter while making pakodas.
  • Little plain sugar or caramelised sugar added to the gravy makes it tasty.
  • While using ginger and garlic paste in curries, always use garlic at 60% ratio and ginger at 40% as ginger is very strong and may make your dish sharp and pungent.
  • If you forget to soak chana/Rajma overnight. Just soak the chana/Rajma in the boiling water for an hour before cooking.
  • # Potatoes soaked in salt water for 20 minutes will bake more rapidly.
  • You can leave a spoon in the vessel in which the milk is being boiled at low heat so that it does not get burnt at the bottom
  • Rubbing a small piece of Lemon with a little bet of table salt after washing dishes, will help keeping the hands soft.
  • One can save curry leaves corriander leaves and mint leaves and chilli too in the freezer for many days
  • If u add a little bit of milk cream, your amlet(fried egg) will be puffy
  • Rubbing the slippery plastic mugs and buckets with a carocin dipped cloth will make it like new...
  • If u soak garlick clows in the water for 5 minits, you can peel them easily
  • Keeping a ripen banana on your fruit basket will ripe all the fruits faster.
